Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Warm Light website and services ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Warm Light transforms home inspection PDF documents into summary reports with cost estimates and negotiation insights. The Service is designed for real estate agents who want to share clear, branded inspection summaries with their clients.

Disclaimer of Accuracy

Reports generated by Warm Light are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute professional inspection advice, engineering assessments, or contractor estimates.

Cost estimates included in reports are approximate and may vary significantly based on your location, contractor availability, material costs, and current market conditions. They are not a substitute for professional contractor quotes.

You should always consult qualified professionals — including licensed inspectors, contractors, and other specialists — before making decisions based on report content. Warm Light is not responsible for any inaccuracies in report summaries or cost estimates.

Account & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

Subscription & Billing

Warm Light offers a paid subscription plan billed on a monthly basis. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can manage your subscription and cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service, including inspection PDF files. By uploading content, you grant Warm Light a limited, non-exclusive license to process, analyze, and store that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You represent that you have the right to upload any content you submit and that your use of the Service does not violate any third-party rights.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Upload content that is fraudulent, misleading, or infringes on the rights of others
  • Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent

Intellectual Property

Warm Light and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its design, features, report format, and presentation. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or other intellectual property except as needed to use the Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Warm Light shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

In particular, Warm Light is not liable for any decisions you or your clients make based on the content of generated reports, including but not limited to real estate negotiations, repair decisions, or purchase decisions. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Warm Light, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
